87 Ford- Cant get spark!
I'm sick of this truck- got in lieu of payment from a client- now wont even start! Here is the scenero- when I got it- it turned very slowly- but fired and ran great- a potential buyer noted that it had a smaller car type battery- hence the slow turn. So I went to Interstate and got a new truck battery- Has Not started since!!
So- now Ive replaced the battery, coil, ignition control module, checked for cracks in distributor, NONE- very little wear- still no spark- but plugs look worn. I have NO money- and need to sell to recuperate the $1200 it took from me- kicker with truck- only 83K miles and tons of other stuff brand new. I want to burn this POS up! Put a code tester on yesterday- no codes! any ideas- for a simple straight six, its really pissing me off!

You didn't say whether it cranked any faster with the new battery, does it?
Do you have a test lite to use ?
This is what you can try, connect the test lite ground clip to a good ground. (batt negative)
You should have voltage to one side of the coil when the key is on and the test lite should lite.. Remove the plug if it has one on the coil and check both wires in the plug.
If so good, if not power from the ignition switch is missing ,now connect the test lite ground clip to the positive terminal and with the plug back on the coil the other terminal should blink on and off when you crank the engine to start it, does it blink? We need to know the result here before going any further. If it doesn't blink there could be a problem inside the distributor. Take your time and go slow.
