98 F-150 4.6 swap for 99 interceptor 4.6 problem?
Need help haven't done a swap since pre-computer engines! And then it was SBC's easy ones you know , yank out 307 throw in 350 or 400 all cars.
This time I have a a pooorly running 98 F-150 w/ 4.6tried everything under the sun to clear the codes, fix one thing another breaks , but I love my truck(too broke to pay 25,000+ for new one).
Have a 1999 crown vic squade w/ salvage title and sweet running 4.6 interceptor, straight foward swap of
manifolds ,fuel system, oil pan, and acessories or not ? input please guys?

I'm gonna guess that the ECM is quite different for the HO interceptor engine. I could be wrong, but that's my guess. I know they are chipped because my dad's duty car is chipped and when our department retires cars, the ecm is pulled and sent back to ford and the factory is reinstalled. I believe this is true for all retired cars, but could be mistaken.
