better explanation to last post please help!!!
what would cause the flange and yolk from my rear drive shaft not to fasten all the way down when i tighten my pinion nut? when i go in reverse theflange comes out of the pinion sealand when igo forwardit goes back in to flush with the pinion seal. it is causing my truck to leak 80 90. im thinking of buying a hub to hub assembly from a junk yard. is there other options??? its a 95 F-150 with 8.8 axle. looking for one if anyone has one??

try pulling the yoke and oil slinger out and installing shims against bearing enough to take out the slack i mad a shim for mine by grinding an old crush ring down to proper thickness you will have to experiment to get what thickness you will need just don't preload the bearing to tight

thats what i figured would be about the only option. i think the thing is it is the spacer on the back bearing so i may have to take it all out and put a spacer in the back of it. that is where the slack is coming from. do you know is the gear at the end of that shaft supposed to be flush or is there suposed to be space between the housing and it?
