Default Brake Line replacement

Have a 93 F150 4x4 54,xxxmiles. Was told all the brake lines needed to be replaced. Dealer quoted 1200.00. Seems sort of high to me... ? Thanks

If you live in an area where rust is a problem, yes, you will need to have those lines replaced and believe me, it is no picnic. They do now have coated brake lines available at various auto supply stores and that helps control the rust problem.
If you can shop around , I'm pretty sure you will be able to have them replaced for a lot less.

Thanks for the reply..... I guess if the truck had 154K miles it would be an easier decision. I did see one supplier had the complete set for $300.00
