Demon in our truck???
We have a 2005, F150 Lariat extended cab withall the electrical bells and whistles such assunroof, 6 CD player, heated seats, electrical back windows- all the works. Today, my husband goes out to start the truck and it wouldn't even turn over. The CD player and radio started flashing weird things like both were trying to play at the same time. This happenedlast year when the truck was only a couple of months old and it was very hot outside. Today it is very cold (39 degrees). My husbandjumps the battery using my Explorer and it starts up fine. But,when gets inside the truck, thebattery indicator on the panel shows the battery is fully charged. Our baby is at the shop right now... but we took it there once before and nothing was found, so I am not hopeful anything will be found this time either. There was one other weird thing and that was last year too - my husband couldn't get the electical back glass to open. We tried turning off the truck and waiting, but still wouldn't open. We took it to the shop and when they got around to checking it out (about two hours later) the darn window opened perfectly without a problem.
The battery has been tested and checked and everything looks okay. It is frightening to think that thetruck might not start and then we are stranded. Does anyone know what might be going on???? I think there is a demon in the truck.... [:@]

RE: Demon in our truck???
I had a similar problem with one of my cars. It was like aliens were coming to get me (ha ha). The headlights and everything dimmed and lit up and dimmed and everything went dead and came back on. In short - (and even because of a) Clean the battery cables and see if that helps.

There is a similar problem with Lincoln Navigators. I own one and know first hand. At night, it would sometimes run the heat blower by itself (keys out of it). Then, when you went to start it up, nothing would happen (cuz the battery was dead or sevrely drained). Sometimes, you could jump start it but the radio wouldn't play if you put it in drive (it would play in park). Most of the time, it wouldn't even start. It really sucked cuz I was always worried about my wife getting stranded somewhere (three young kids with her). Eventually, we found out the problem was the gem module. It controls a lot of the electrical functions of your truck. You may want to have them check it. You may also need to find out why the module went bad (I've heard of windshields leaking onto the gem module and ruining it).
