Default Engine back fireing, and "chugging sometimes!???

I put a new exaust on my truck. I put ford shorty headers, and Cherry bomb glass packs with strait pipes coming out sides behind cab corners! It is backfiring every once in a while, and sometimes it "chugs", or "lurches". It also seems like it may be shifting funny... i'm not sure though. Does anyone have any idea why it is happening, and what i can do about it???

Any more info on the truck? Year, engine, etc.

the popping or backfiring is probably due to the cherry bombs, that is normal with glass packs, and did you do anything with the cats, if you did and removed the O2 sensors then the computer is probably trying to correct the problem by other means, you would need to put O2 cheaters on the harness you can get them at summit.
