She cranks fine but won't fire, I've replaced the Wires,Rotor,Distro Cap Coil Pack and fuel filter. Still nothing. Just went out one morning and nothing I'm about at witts end. Any help out there....

Also had the ECU checked and it is fine the coild pack tested bad so i replaced it but still no luck. Is there a fused ling somewhere in the system? Had that problen with a Dodge years ago.

Can you hear the fuel pump running when you first turn the key on? The pump should run for about 2 seconds when the key is first on. If you can't, look for blown fuses or a tripped inertia switch. The relay may be stuck also. If all that checks out, check for current at the fuel pump connector at the tank. If there is current, the fuel pump is probably bad.
Have you chacked to see if there is spark getting to the plugs?

Have tou looked at the ignition module on the side of the distributor? It is commonly called a TIF module. Ford had a problem with those.

Nope but I did check the positive side of coil with a voltage probe and tried to crank it and no flash, So no power getting to the coil...So now I'm thinking ignition switch? I can't figure the wiring harness going bad the truck isn't handled rough it's a great riding truck and in great shape.

Wait is that the long flat stick thing that is supposed to mount on the flat part of distrobuter? I thought that was called the ECM and mine is mounted on the fenderwell between some cooling fins and it tested good.

That is the one. Ford moved it to keep it away from heat. The positive side of the coil is conctant power. The negative side should flash. Have you chaeked all fuses? There is a fuse under the hood (20amp) that is in the circuit for the coil. My diagram is not real clear, but it looks like it is position "U".

I've checked all fuses and they are all good. I checked both sides of the coil and no flash. And i checked with both Auto parts stores in the area, one says if no flash when the key is turned that possible Ignition switch the other says the Ballast resistor. Now i have 2 heavy guage wires coming from the same pos. Batt mount 1 goes to the starter and the other goes to a plug that has 4 small wires in it and then to the side of the starter solinoid. But like I said the truck cranks..just no fire....BTW thanks for tring to help.

have you tested the alternator or voltage regulator.
