If I'm not mistaken (and I may be), there is a TSB about this very noise. Someone please check this out for me, but I remember something about a noise in this engien.

It does..

There's a TSB (12-3-1) for a 5.0 rattle/scratching noise/s on engines built on or before a date of 11/10/2011. I can send you a copy if you like..

If it went to 2 different dealers, your engine build date is probably beyond the date the TSB covers. It should have however, been checked for noises for normal issues..

Noises like rattles are different that ticking at times. Fuel Injectors make a normal slight ticking, but without knowing the level of the noise or complaint, hard to know what your hearing. Can you post a video of the sound/s?
