I am new to the forum and I posted in the wrong place. I posted under new member. 1st Mistake I ever made. I found a 1978 F150 XLT with a 460 engine behind a guys house and it need me to restore it so I bought it. The carb is stuck closed and the intake is rusty all over the top. I figure a new aluminum intake and carb will fix part of the problem and then to find out where all the vacuum lines go that are plugged up or just laying loose on the top of the motor. I did pull all the spark plugs and shoot some WD-40 down the cylinders but the motor turns over pretty good once I bought a new battery and put in it. I do need to buy a hood since this on is rusted out where the hood hinge bolts to the hood. I did buy new oil and filter and new transmission fluid and filter and will change them before I do much more than just clean and clean on the engine. I will post pics.
