Default Head lights are coming on at night when truck is off.

I have a 2002 Ford F-150. Last weekend my headlights kept coming on at night, when my truck was off and the lights were off. And it would lead into killing the battery. Monday I took it into the dealership and they said it was the low battery that was causing the lights to come on. So they put a new battery in, and all was good for a couple days. But this morning I went out to my truck and the lights were on again. Does anyone know what might be causing this????

Wow, thats very odd. Could be short in the system somewhere.. but thats just a guess though. I have the same year pickup and haven't had a issue with the lights.. as of yet. Sorry i couldn't be any help.. hope it works out fine.

Does it have automatic headlights? If it does, there is a possibility the sensor is going bad. If not, check wiring behing the headlight switch.
