Default Lariat back up sensor troubles

Hey,

I'm new to this site and am looking for suggestions form some real electronic guys. I have a 2004 F-150with the parking assist. When I put it in reverse the beeper will go off sporadically and sometimes shut off. The sensor is over $100 for one and there are 4 on the rear bumper. Anyone have any suggestions on how to check these or a place to purchase ones cheaper? I have found them for 75 each but don't want to buy all new if it may be something simpler.

Thanks

Make sure that they are clean, no dust or dirt on lenses. Then you can check them by removing the tailgate, then have someone sit in the cab with the key on, engine off. Someone else laying in bed, just make sure you don't hang over the edge. Then use an extended arm to cover the sensors one at a time to determine if the are all operating. Good for a cheap first test.
