My truck is sitting @Ford Suburban for 40 days now.
Please help! Repairs are at just under 10,000.
Chris, at Suburban Motors is one fantastic guy!
But, there’s nothing he can do…
ICBC is placing a 5,000 value on my truck. This is a mint shape truck, every 6 months oil changed..brand new tires, It’s part of the family!
The VIN, 1FTRW08L22KB06932, shows nothing after leaving the Kansas Plant. I know my truck was ordered from the plant to be delivered to Calgary. Owner One treated this truck as his own child, we all know what I’m saying.
2nd owner, my friend, bought the truck over to Vancouver Island in May of 2021. Promptly brought it to Ford dealership for a once over. Mint. Put new tires, which are a different size!, of the f-150 basic truck, and the deluxe back up system with Bluetooth etc in my truck. Oops, I’m 3rd owner. Second owner drove the truck for a week and parked it as he has 3 other trucks. I loved this truck on first site. We had a few beers..I told him I want that truck..he said you save 10,000 and it’s yours.
Took me a while but I got my truck. My son adored it.
I got in an accident in December. I drove the truck home slowly. It sat at my bosses home for a couple months while I argued with ICBC.
Due to the airbags going off ICBC says it is a write off. Accept the payment and that’s it. My truck is mint. I paid 10,000 and got a deal. I also live on the island. There are no trucks to be found.
ICBC says value of 5,000$ as VIN comes up as f-150.
Icbc says I need 3 ads similar to my truck for the price that I’m looking for. I’ve scoured ads for months but no one seems to have my truck on the island. And arguing my truck is the Ford Lariat super cab is no use. Obviously it has 4 doors which swing out for full size seating and the tires are larger so it’s not the basic F150!
The striping on my truck has a blue pin striping with Lariat clearly on the side. 40/60 bench seats, and the tires match Lariat Deluxe model. Chrome running boards, console flips up for extra seating.
