Default rattling noise

hello,

new on the site and wanted to seek some help. I hear a rattling /ticking noise which i think is coming from the center part of the hood when i only hit the gas, happens on lower speeds and higher speeds as well. Noise goes away when im coasting. Any idea what this could be ? Performance is fine, doesnt cause any problems just annoying and annoying again! Anything I need to look for?

Thanks

Default RE: rattling noise

open the hood and have someone push the gas so you can hear for the noise. in most cases , a rattling noise comes from a heat sheild on the converter . but your vehicle may not have one? we also need to know what type of car or truck you have.
