Whoops made a boo doesn't belong here!! ![Embarrassment](https://www.fordforum.com/forum/images/smilies/redface.gif)
Two captain seats in a 1993 e 150 conversion. I can get the chair to go forward with the release but it doesn't seem to show how to come out. Maybe I need to remove the whole base? BTW I do want to remove the base too. Seats are not going back in. Is it something a middle aged woman with a bit of know how can do?

Never underestimate the will of a determined person !
Since you are determined to remove that seat, one way or the other, look for the bolts that either hold the seat to the track or the seat to the floor and remove them. Usually 4. You will need some hefty tools to break loose those bolts going through to the floor since they can be somewhat rusted. A shot of penetrating oil to the threads will help get them loose. Once loose and removed the seat should be able to be lifted and turned in order to remove it from the vehicle. Seat belts can pose some problems if they are connected to the seat, but most are anchored to the floor. Do you still think you want to get into this ?

I dont know yet.... maybe!! I did get the seat belts loose, they were attached to the seat itself. The seats are in good condition but dirty and a bare spot on each. I am trying to see if someone would take them off and let them keep them for the work. I put a ad on Craigslist. Nothing yet. Maybe the junkyard would do it?
