Side mount fule tank
I have a 94 F-150 5.0L long bed truck, and decided I would change my side mount 19gal tank on my own. I have never done this before, but I am familar with the truck, in which I have the tank pretty much out, except for the two fule lines connected to the sending unit. Has anybody ever done this before? I have no idea how to dissconnect the two lines, I have never seen this type of connection. If any one could give me some insight, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

You'll need a release tool.
Most vendors like NAPA, Auto Zone, Snap On ect, will have these tools.. It slips around the fuel line, then the 'barrel' end of the tool inserts into the quick coupling releasing the spring.. They come in a few sizes, and in different styles ect.. You may need to use compressed air, or spray cleaner before inserting the tool if the coupling is dirty.. A light lube will help with the release as well.. Make sure the tool is inserted all the way, and gently pull/rotate the line for removal....
Here's a general pic of what they look like..

RE: Side mount fule tank
They are called fuel line disconnects. I'd recommend buying them in a set. The ones I have are the plain round type with a single split - you open the split side and slide them around the line making sure the smaller edge faces the fitting and you push it into the fitting to release the holding spring. You must make sure the holding spring releases fully by expanding it out around the edge of the housing with the tool. If any piece of the spring is hanging to the outside it will not release.
