spark plug change

RE: spark plug change
To answer your question. lets just say that they are not the that easy to do. If you are going to change them blow all around the coils to get rid of any thing that could fall into the head. Unplug the wires that conect to the coil. There might be a bolt to take out in each coil. pull out the wire. and blowin there to just to make sure. with a good socket and the rightextension screw the out. You may need amagnet to get them out. when you go to put them in carefuly drop them in. Tighten them up. put thje coil back in plug the wire backon. The bad part about how ford designed thisis that you can't tell if it be closed up or ifyou are cross threading. or if the coil wire is on just right. I did the first three on the passenger side one and it took me 2 hours.

Actually, this is not that difficult to do. Yes, be sure to blow out from around the coils first, and after you remove the coils, blow out the plug holes. Easy way to remove the plugs after you unscrew them is to stick the coil back into the hole, it will slip over the plug and out it comes. Putting it back in is also easy. Get yourself a piece of vacuum line that is the size of the plug tip, slip it over the plug and insert in hole,it will self align as long as you don't try to force it into the hole. Only one that is difficult is number 4, that is the one at the rear on the passenger side, you will need a swivel joint to put on an extension to insert in hole, then a longer extension to bring the ratchet out to you.
