the blk probe on block for ground and red probe on ign side of coil needle read 12 v

I would like to know what would stop the injectors from working any thing from not enough pressure to the control box because as I stated before it tries to start when I floor it and spray ether in through plennum

Have you checked as to whether you have spark?
There is a difference between it tries to start with ether and it will run with ether. Which does it do?

it tries to start but will not run at all when I let off the key it all stops

Need you to try two things.


Remove the coil wire from the cap place it 1/4 in from engine ground and crank the engine. you should see the spark jumping as the engine cranks. Do you see any spark?

yes i have spark when I crank the motor

if I push the pressure relief valve on the fuel rail it sprays up to the hood so that tells me that I have enough pressure from the pumpand no air in the line or lines.

unfortunately I have to let this truck go back to title loan place because I am unable to fix it and make the payment at the same time

I thank all of you who have replied to this sight and tried to help me figure this thing out.
Please don't worry when I get enough money I buying a 77 Ford F150 with a 460 and c-6 tranny in it
