Default suspension lift

I am thinking about lifting my 2000 f150 , and wanted some input on what brand you have used, or heard was good, prices, and places to purchase. Im thinking about a 4incher that will probobly be 75% on road use.

Thanks, Mike

Default RE: suspension lift

i've done a lot of lifts over the year and can say that you should stay with a name brand. several things to look at when you buy. one is what the kit comes with? of course the more that comes in the kit the higher the price. i personaly stay away ftrom high blocks 4" and up. they cause axel wrap under hard braking and wear out your leafs springs fast. also look at the way the kit is put togeth. most 4" lifts you have to lower you front cross menber 4" so the only clearance you get is half of the the differance in the size of tires you go from to the size you go to. lots of time you can get a 3" lift that just cranks your torsion bars down. this alows for slighty larger tires but the clearance increase more than the 4" with larger tires. also usally the cheaper rout. may other things to look at like shock, tires(clearance), gear sizes and strength of you front diff. seen a lot of guys get big lift and not do it right then go 4wheeling and tear their truck up(usally on something eazy) any questions email me
