Trailer braking display F150
When towing and the foot brake is applied, the amount of brake applied would pop up the the display screen. A very handy feature. Suddenly that display quit showing up.
When the hand controller is used, the display does appear as the brake controller is used and disappears when you let go of the switch.
I don't know how to change settings to get the display back using the foot brake, cant find anything in the manual about it.

Brake displa
It is a 2017 F-150. The controller was installed at the ford dealership. It already had the combo plug in the bumper, both the flat 4pin and the round 7pin connectors

Sorry I didnt word that right, what plug does your trailer have?
Basically do you have a trailer with a 4 pin plug or a 7 pin plug?
I ask since depending on the setting I believe it will act differently if it senses a load from the trailer brakes.
Also check the setting in the cluster, there is a part that is for towing settings.

I looked at all the settings and didn't find anything.
I normally drive(when towing) with the display showing the the current mpg and the average mpg. For a short period of time when I stepped on the brakes, the amount of brake gain would override the normal display and disappear when I let off the brake. That lasted for a few days and then never came back on again. When I apply the trailer brakes with the controller the gain does override the normal display as the controller is applied and disappears when released.
