Default Transmission?

i own a 2003 f150 4.6L V8 supercrew. i've recently changed my transmission control solonoid and my dpfe. i've hooked it up to my dads diagnostic machine and both codes came up, so i went ahead and changed both of them. the problem i'm still having is. while i'm accelarating, and when the truck is changing gears. there is a very loud squealling noise coming from under the hood. almost sounds like a very loud whistle. it only happens when i have my pedal pushed to the floor. PLEASE ANY HELP OR SUGGESTIONS!!

Default 1997 F150 transmission type for 4.6L

Hello!!
I need to find out what transmission type I have for my truck. The transmission is going and I need a rebuild kit (Portland Oregon).
Any thoughts??? Help??? Thanks! It is either E40D or 4R100 (though I read that the 4R100 did not come out until 1998???)

jason,
Unless you found and corrected the squealing problem, there are a couple of possibilities one of which could be a vacuum leak that when you open the throttle a vacuum leak is causing a flutter/squeal in the intake system. Might pay to check all intake connections for a loose hose/intake inlet part(s).

Elizabeth,
The sticker on the driver's door should have a trans code letter. That should help determine which is in the vehicle.
It most likely is an E4OD (code letter E )
