08 6.4 L SuperDuty AC Compressor Issue
My AC compressor continually kicks in and out with the defroster on. It can be felt in the accelerator and bogs the engine. The dealer noticed this at 36.000 miles (under warranty) when they were replacing the cracked radiator but did not replace it. I notified the dealer 4 days later that there was something wrong and they indicated they would check it at the next oil change. When I took it in, they said I had to deal with Ford on it even though they acknowledged I had called and reported it. They also were replacing another compressor on an '08 that day. I have gotten no satisfaction from Ford on this. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?
Ford owner continuously since 1985 - this is my last Ford unless this gets corrected.

You need to call Ford customer service and lodge a complaint. They'll send over a CUDL to the selling dealer and will have to address the problem. If nobody has called you after a week or two, call the general manager and report the problem to him. Keep calling FCS until you get noticed.

I have done that. This has been going on since early October. I have called both Ford and the dealer at least twice a week. Ford and the dealer are playing a shell game and blaming each other for the lack of response. As a matter of fact, Ford has closed the issue once already without notifying me. This is a fleet lease vehicle that I am responsible for. I have put another 5,000 miles on the truck since this started. The dealer denies that there is a regional rep or anyone else I can talk to. My frustration level with Ford is extremely high. Due to the issues with this truck and the three other ones we leased at the same time, we will never purchase Ford again unless their attitude towards the customer changes. In the past, I have had an Audi that the top of the engine was rebuilt long after the warranty had expired because they knew they had a problem. To get that issue resolved, it only took one phone call. I have called 20+ times on this Ford issue and it still continues. Is it any wonder Ford's business is shrinking while foreign makes can build a profitable factory on American soil.

After two months of discussion with Ford Customer Service, they took care of the problem (less a small deductible). Due to this, they may not have lost a future customer (depending on how many additional problems occur with this Super Duty). Case closed.
