1985 f350 tilt steering wheel/ignition lock help needed
The ignition lock won't turn. Could be the actuator rod. I have broken down the steering wheel, removed the directional signal assembly and see a snap ring around the steering wheel axle and three Philips screws in the cavity.
Can't find the hole you put a drill bit in to release the key tumbler assembly.
Have the Ford blowup diagram of the entire steering column assembly from my local dealer.
A friend tried to describe how to replace the actuator rod but a verbal description of the procedure is impossible to comprehend.
Don't want to disassemble any farther due to fear lots of springs and pins will fall out before I can see where they belong.
It is a TILT STEERING WHEEL
Any step by step instructions will be appreciated.
