1986 f250 repairs
Just inherited a 1986 f250 xl. 6.9 idi. It’s been sitting for close to 10 years. Last time it was driven it got gas put into it and that’s why it’s sat. Got it started finally and drove it down the road. Front driver brake seized up. Was wondering what else should I replace besides the front brakes and new batteries. Was planning on replacing fuel, oil and air filters, tires and changing the oil. should I also change the hoses as well? And also any ideas of what I should look for to replace to get it running again

Not sure of all info without asking.
Would you know if it was driven with the gas in it or just not run due to mistake.
As you can imagine the entire fuel system should be purged and drained if possible. Some parts ,again depending on how much Gasoline was installed could be gummed up.Can we ask where the vehicle was stored , outside snow rain, barn, warm climate etc. Environment could contribute to problems, should be considered.

yes it was run with gas in it. And it was stored mostly outside with a tarp over it. But in the last year and a half it has been out with no tarp in the rain. And cold during the summers and hot summers. 95+ most days. Only one of the tanks had gas in it. Put new diesel in the other tank and it started fine after cranking it for a minute. Drove fine until the brake seized

Glow control was problematic on the older 6.9’s. But if yours fired up quickly, good chance it’s working spec.
Fuel return hoses, and the return line cap o-rings would leak with age.
Injection pumps failed quite often with newer LSD, but it could have been changed out already, and if it starts/runs smooth nothing to be of concern.
The radiator supports used to like to crack from flexing along the top edges. Normally easy to see. If so, it would stress the radiator to the point of failure .
Head gaskets at times, and running gasoline could potentially increase combustion pressures, but not overly concerning if it’s running good with no coolant burn or loss.
Water hoses, belts, a given, but if inspected and look good may be serviceable for some time.....
