1996 F350 brakes still tight

1. The rubber boots should cover the caliper pins. It appears the outer ones are jammed in there
2. The rotor appears behind a hub surface. Maybe it's me, but just doesn't look right.
Did you get just exchange calipers or did they come with the mounting brackets already assembled?
There is just something that stands out and I am not sure if it is me or just the way the photos show the parts.
There is definitely something not right and I need for you to tell us exactly what you did when changing some of the parts.
If you did what I think you did you did.well let's check first. Does the rotor actually turn when you rotate the wheel studs?

could the booster push rod have gotten / bee too long? Both front brakes are dragging.
I know what you mean about the boots on the caliper. One would think they'd be over extended further out but for some reason that's they way they are. Im lost.

I'm not sure where they used a one piece rotor and hub assy or separate rotors going over the hub. .
I don't know for sure if a Super Duty used one type and non super used a different type.
There are differences with dual rear wheels .
Can you provide your VIN ? Thanks.
Next question , with the calipers off just hanging with a wire, how do the hubs turn now ? Free or dragging?
We have to start someplace and need to know this info. With the hubs unlocked the hubs should turn easily, do they? Is there gear lube in the hubs for the bearings ?
If nobody did anything at the booster and all was OK before the work, there should be no problem there.

F350 Power Stroke 7.3 4WD. With the calipers off and the hub unlocked it spins fine.
somebody recommended checking the vacuum and replacing the proportional valve. I might try checking the vacuum tomorrow. But it'll be a week before the proportional valve gets here.

What about this, If it involved the proportioning valve the rotors should be free to turn once you opened the caliper bleeder screw. Since there is no difference if you open the bleeder screws on both calipers , it is no longer a hydraulic problem, but a mechanical problem.

What does this do? Its directly under the master cylinder bolted to the truck frame. The lines run to the back brakes.
Update. I'm told this is the Rear ABS controller. There's a sensor on the rear differential.

I took the new calipers back to the auto parts store and they gave me another set. Put them on, bled the system and things seem a lot better. Will drive for a few days and see. Thanks for the thoughts so far on this forum.

mine has a seperatel vacuum pump. Vacuum checks good.
