Default 1997 Ford F250 HD 4x4

Picked up a 1997 Ford F250 HD 4x4 5.8L V8 - cleaned it up, and replaced brakes, tires, radiator hoses, power steering, etc. almost a brand new truck under the hood. there is minor body damage on the rear passenger quarter panel. Cool truck. Never had one, but curious as to whether I should keep it. the only thing i need to really do to it would replace the stereo and the quarter panel which could cost up to $2500. I dont need a truck. I might be able to use it sometimes if we buy a camper Is it worth keeping? what is it worth approximately? i see these trucks listed for $15,000 - $40,000. This truck has 96,400 miles. I haven't made up my mind so just looking for your thoughts.

We can't decide for you. If you do not need it, sell it. I seriously doubt you are going to get the money for a 97 you are thinking. Listing a vehicle and actuallty selling it for that are two different things. Anyone can ask what they want. I would be very surprised if you got over $15k for it. For $15k-$40k , you can get something much newer than a 97.

I like the '97 HD, but mine is a 7.3L Diesel. You do have to be thorough when looking for replacement parts though!!

+1 for the above "estimate" of value.

The bed side could be straightened out.

Yours having the 7.3 diesel would command a very high price.

Thanks! Yours is sharp looking also and that mileage isn't bad. Wish you luck on your decision.

I agree with Hayapower - wouldn't take much to do that minor amount of body work and painting.

I agree, when they are kept up, they turn some heads. I'm wondering though if that is a good thing or a bad thing!
