1999 250 Superduty V-10 will not stay running!!!
The truck runs sometimes, if it starts in the morning it usually runs all day, a little slow to start each time I turn the key but it starts and runs. Most times it will not start in the morning, and only in the morning. The truck will fire up when the key is turned but then fires down like I turned the key off, unless I give it just a little gas it will stay running until I let off the gas. I did find that if I let off the gas very very slow it will sometimes stay running but only at about 300 RPM's less than half the normal RPM's, and when I give it a little gas it sounds and reacts great until I let off the gas and then it dies.
I took it to a local repair shop and had them look at it. They put it on their computer and it showed no codes at all or any anomolies while it was running. They checked fuel line pressure thinking it was the fuel pump but it was within specs. At one time it was running for them and they pulled vacuum lines one at a time trying to see if it was a vacuum problem, but after creating what he called a major vacuum leak (power break assist) it continued to run without skipping a beat!!! After 2 weeks of scratching their heads and charging me for the privelage of doing so they still don't know what the problem is!! If anyone has any suggestions or prior experience with this please...please help me.
Thankyou,
Warner Blake
