2000 F350 7.3 ball joints
Is it unusual for ball joints to wear out after being replaced after one year? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Also, the truck has just under 80000 miles on it and the ball joints were replaced at 69000 miles.

That doesnt sound quite right to me. I just replaced mine for the second time and my truck has 230k on it. Given they were about completely destroyed.....but i think they should last longer than 21,000 miles. Maybe you got some defective ball joints, or maybe there's something wrong with your alignment. I'm not exactly sure as that is not my area of expertise.....but it sounds a little off to me.

well the biggest problem is that everybody thinks that if there is any slack hey are done ,you are allowed to have play up and down limit is 24 thous/inch on the top one and 40 thous/inch on the bottom and side to side as well so it can move 40 thous up and 40 thous in and they are still in specs.and they have to be measured with a dial indicator you cant really tell by eye.
