2001 F250 - Which Steering Gear?
There are two types of steering gears (XR50 and TAS40) discussed in the service manual. Is there an easy way to tell which one I have. The part number scribed on the gear box is "F7AC-3583-AA". I find no other markings, or cross-reference on the part number, that would lead me to the correct answer...
Any help would be appreciatied.

Thanks for the reply Hayapower...
Hmm...not going to be so easy detecting the .16 turn difference.
I'm trying to figure out which gear box so I can adjust the free-play. I have some "slop" in the steering that I wanted to fix. The adjustment procedure is different, depending on which type of gear box.
