Default 2001 ford f-250 failed inspection, sensors not ready. HELP!!!

OK. Here we go. 5.4 gas job. I failed inspection because 2 sensors were not ready. Oxygen sensor and oxygen senor heater, both not ready. I had no code before and no check engine light came on, ever. I did everything. Need help please. I replaced both o2 sensors. I put a code scanner on it. I have NO codes coming up. Nothing. Disconnected the battery, reset the computer. Full drive cycle 4 times. Nothing. Any help would be much appreciated.

Default RE: 2001 ford f-250 failed inspection, sensors not ready. HELP!!!

Found out why. I am just letting everyone know what happen. The inspection station has two machines. One for 1996 and under 8500 gvw. The second machine is for older vehicles and with a vehicle weight greater than 8500 GVW. Well, m y truck with a weight of 8800 was put on the new OBD2 machine and entered a weight of 8500. FAIELD. That’s why. So if you vehicles gross weight is over 8500. Make sure they put in the correct weight and use the correct machine. Can’t fix stupid.

Default I know this post is old but wanted to confirm

I know this is a very old post, but in case anyone was searching like I was for an answer you hit it dead on. Went to Jiffy Lube and failed for the o2 sensor and htr 'Not Ready' with no fault codes present. I was getting ready to go buy one and swap it out when I ran across this post. Looked on my receipt and the weight was entered as 7000lbs. Went back up there and had them redo it with the correct 8800lbs. Of course they were complaining the whole time, wouldn't you know it PASSED!. So in case anyone else has this happen on their 2001 F250, I can confirm the correct weight entered does make a difference in the inspection.

Thanks to the original poster. Saved me some money for non needed parts.
