Question 2002 f250, general maintenance, fluids Using CASTROL TRANSMAX?

Hello, have some questions regarding fluids wanting to do some maintenance on this vehicle.. I just got an 02 f250, auto, stick 4wd.

I looked up the spec sheet in the manual says it needs regular MERCON (not v), has anyone used castrol ATF products for transmission.. Should I stick with only MERCON motorcraft products for atf?. I wouldnt mind putting it in the t-case and possibly p-steering, but want to be sure before i add to the trans w/ a wix filter..
-Are there any ATF fluids people recommend for this model /generation truck?
-Also wanted to try FULL synthetic oil after using up some 5w-30 dino stuff i have.. Manual says 6qts of 5w-20 oil., What weight /viscosity oil should I use for a full synthetic? Any specific brand engine oil recommendations?

Thanks for any recommendations or comments!

These say mercon compatible, but also say on the label 84-96 fords.. Should I go with the newer mercon v?
