2004 F350 ABS issue
I thought it would be simple but it is not. I most likely have a bad solder joint on the ABS module. The symptom is that when you first start the truck the ABS light is on but if you drive for some time, eventually the ABS light will go out. If I let everything cool down or drive it short distances the light is on. There are lots of videos on how to do the repair to the ABS module, if that is what it is.
So this past Sunday I decided it would be the day I would tackle this job. Removed the drivers side front wheel and took out the fender under cover. To my surprise, Ford positioned the module behind the headlight and the only way to remove the module is to pull the the pump as well which means removing all the lines.
My query is, if I remove the lines will I need to bleed everything or just where the lines that go to the pump? I am guessing everything, but if anyone has replaced the pump and or module with this configuration, your experiences would be great. I put everything back together and will wait for it to be cooler out to tackle this if removing all the wheels will be needed.

There is a better way to tackle this problem and here is why.
What should be done is to have a scan tool that can provide a graph of the signals from each wheel speed sensor. If there is any problem with either the sensors or module you will be able to see it and proceed accordingly. Saves a lot of time and $$$. Worth considering.

Thanks Hanky for the guidance. I am hoping to not have to take it to shop to have it scanned if it is something I can learn from. I did hook it up to my OBD2 reader and I am getting C1185 from the ABS scan. I don't think the issue is a wheel sensor and there are known issues with this ABS module that lead to this type of failure. I am not going to rule out something else, just seems like a likely cause.
