2006 E350 Stripped Chassis Fuel Trim Issue
Hi all, new member here. Just wanna thank in advance for anyone taking the time out of their day to read this thread.
2006 E350T 5.4 Stripped chassis, came to me with timing codes and overheat codes, found broken tensioner, sent heads out for reconditioning with valve seats and cam bearings done on both heads. Heads milled .008" on both sides, reinstalled with new oversized head gaskets, all ford timing components. Started it 3 weeks ago have had high fuel trims on bank 2, no codes present, all data ok. I have done the following to diagnose and correct, with no result. STFT normal range both banks, LTFT will stay between +14-21. Vehicle hesitates on road test. Veh. not equipped with EGR
-smoke test, no leaks found. no change with alt. fuel source.
-swapped all coils, all new plugs in both sides.
-performed compression test, leakdown test, as well as commanded relative compression test and injector power balance test, all OK, Compression averages 155-165psi all cylinders.
-Timing has been checked a handful of times, have had other techs check just in case my eyes are wonky.
-swapped pre cat 02 sensors, no change
-fuel filter changed, all 8 injectors changed, fuel pressure in spec mechanically and on scan tool.
-new intake manifold gaskets, new exhaust manifolds and gaskets
-swapped cam position sensors
-runs better with no 02 sensors plugged in, not perfect but better
- KOEO and KOER Self tests no codes
- tried another intake manifold, no change
- tried another MAF sensor, no change
- Installed new PCV valve
- Will not shift past 3rd gear, go past 45Kmp/h on road test
-checked for restricted exhaust by removing Y pipe, as well as running vehicle with slits cut just before both cats on bank 2 with 02 sensors plugged in.
-Swapped PCM from identical truck, no changes
I'm at the point of removing the bank 2 head and rechecking for cracks. Does anyone happen to spot something I may have missed or should be looking at? I think I'm starting to go insane.
Again, thank you all in advance.
