7.3 CAM SENSOR RECALL
#11
2000 F250 Superduty, 250,000 miles. Just this week, when I would shut it off to run in somewhere and come back out, it wouldn't start. Then when it cooled off it would. Today when leaving for work, it just died on the side of the road.
Read the forums, talked to Ford, bought the Cam Sensor. Mechanic installed it, truck still won't start. Acts like it wants to at first, but is really rough, then just nothing, it's like it gets hot and doesn't want to start.
Any other ideas?

I've got about 60 on the shelf right now and getting more all the time. Only done 3 recalls so far. Had the parts for about 2 weeks now

Are you sure you're getting fuel for it to start? When was the last time you changed the fuel filter? I know this sounds far fetched, but do you have enough fuel in the tank? Gauges go sometimes too! All these things have to be eliminated as part of troubleshooting. You may know the answer, but I am asking since I do not know.,,,,,,,,,, hanky
