Default 7.3 not firing

I have a '99 f350 with 7.3. We have been trying to find out why it will not start. Replaced some sensors and checked compression 310 to 400 lbs. We also tried using a slight amount of either with engine cranking, still nothing. In calling ford we were told that if there is electrical problem such as the ECU the engine will not fire even with compression. Has anyone heard of this before or any ideas? Thanks.

Well..... first things first! Your glow plugs are probably shot, and piston rings will be right behind them because ether is bad for fords and other trucks with glow plugs! it destroys your glow plugs, and will induce pre-ignition, and thins out your oil if you use to much trying to start it. If you use ether once, they become "ether addicts" and need it to start every time! It can also cause backfires when glow plugs get hot, and hurt your engine in alot of ways! Don't ever use ether unless you live in alaska! Thats what glow plugs, intake heaters, and block heaters are for!
