Default 78 F350 camper special

Hello!
I'm new to this site and have a lot of questions about a project truck I just bought. I am a DIY'er so any and all information is deeply appreciated. However, I do know where the gas tank is With that being said, my first question is 'Where on the block can I find the engine size'??

Check the eighth digit of the vin, vehicle identification number, the letter or number there tells what engine is in the vehicle, unless it's been changed !
Post it here , we should be able to assist you.

The eighth digit is the number 6. I don't know if the engine has been changed or not. Thank you

There were a few engines available that year. Is the engine in your project a six or eight cyl.
Of the 8's there were the 302, 351W, 351M. 400 and 460. Can't find anything with a 6 designation. Are you positive about that 6 being the eighth digit?
Does it have a 2 barrel carb or a 4 barrel carb?
Did you try the "Ford Vin number site"

actually, the 4th character on the vin is the engine code; A-B are 6 cylinder, G is 302, H 351, M 390, S 400, J 460
hope this helps

i believe the 2 barrel carbs are motorcraft 2150's or a carter, not sure but to tell if it's 2 or 4 barrel, 2 barrel on left, 4 barrel on right
