I am looking at buying an 87 F-350 Dually 7.3l powerstroke 4x4. It has 173,000 miles the body is in excellent condition and the interior needs minor repair. Iam normally a chevy guy so I dont know a whole lot other than there pretty much bullet proof and Ive worked on a few that my family members own.

The seller says that it is pretty much stock except it has 4,10 rear and front gears, mud tires, and an aftermarket exhaust.

what do i need to look at and watch out for to determine the condition of this truck?

what kind of mpg can i expect?

what can i do to make it more effecient and powerful.

what about bio diesel?
