Default 89 F350 towing issues

Hey guys - I'm new here and wanted to ask for some advice on an older truck. Just got the 89 F350 dually with a newer rebuid 460 and c6. For the most part, it runs great without issues. THis morning I hooked up our 21 foot toy hauler (5900#) and had the worst time trying to pull it. 0-45 mph in approx 1/2 mile, feels like I am pulling a trailer without wheels, my wifes 1/2 ton pulls better than this. The engine is running/sounding solid, responding to the throttle. just gutless. I just had the engine tuned and exhaust manifold replaced.

Any suggestionson where tostart? THanks -

Nice call!

After I saw that, I remember the guy who sold it to me saying he had finally gotten it to pass smog here in california. Looking farther back, the Catalytic converter looks like it belongs on a geo metro or something. Tiny little thing. I'm just gonna pull it. Straight pipes should open it up....
