Default 90 f250 fuel pump problem..

Please help f250 1990 302 5.0
Starts sometimes when I here a fuel pump. Other times just a click. Replaced Relay, filter, solenoid, dual tank selector. Now what? Truck runs fine when the pump wants to turn on.. Just won't always kick the pump on, so pump is good.

Fuel pumps get tired too !!
How about a little more info.
Which tank. does the other tank pump work,

If you hear the click, is that the relay you hear working?
Did you check if the inertia switch is making a good connection?
All power goes through the inertia switch on the way to the fuel pump(s).
There should be a fuel pump in each tank plus a hi press pump mounted on the chassis rail just under the driver's seat area before the fuel filter.
