97 HD f250 4x4 Auto hubs to Manual

I am trying to figure out if I can go from the automatic locking hubs to to the manual locking hubs on a 97 HD f250 4x4 for better gas mileage.

you could do it , easy. why would you want to do. it wouldn't save you that much gas and not worth having to get out of the truck to lock you hubs.
