Default Any Advice on improving mileage of a 2002 7.3L??

I have a 2002 7.3 L F250. I have the 3.73's (I believe) I am getting 15-16 mpg pretty much all around. What products have people tried to improve fuel economy? Do any of the aftermarket add ons work?? For example K&N cold air kit, a chip of some sort? or better exhaust?? If any of these do work, the how much can I expect to gain from them?
Thanks for the help.

Well, technically if you improve your intake and your exhaust, you should get better mileage, so a high-flow air filter and exhaust kit would boost your hp, and should increase your mileage...my advice is to stay away from chips and computer mods...they don't always work w/ the system and usually end up costing you big $

Your milage is at the normal range now. With a programer set at 80 hp and Fords ASI air filter upgrade on my truck { 2000 f250 supercab long box auto 4x4 3.73 gears} intown stop & go driving fuel econ is 13 to 17 mpg. I do think that I do get better milage towing and on the hyway empty with these mod. I know that I have more power and I hav'nt lost and milage.

i've got a K&N intake and 4" exhaust from the turbo back, running the superchips programmer on my '02 7.3 four door long bed, and rolling on 38x 15.50's. even pulling a heavily loaded trailer i'm getting 16mpg.

get rid of the 35 inch tires and get rid of these crap plug in chips there is a reason ford cancelled warranties on vehicles with chips.and your mileage will go up tires exspecially
