Question Auxillary Gas tank issue

Hello! new to forum here, I have a 1973 f250 4x4 with in-cab fuel tank behind the bench seat which i use as my main. i would like to add an auxillary tank mounted to back under the bed. was wondering if anyone has used this method to send the fuel from the auxillary tank under the bed up to my main in-cab tank powered by an in-line pump. I would like to continue to run my in-cab tank as my main but would like the extra fuel from auxillary tank for long road trips planned. if there was any other ways to simplify this, or suggestions that would be great thank you.
