Default Converting the 8x170mm wheels to 8x6.5

I have a 94' F-250 with slimming tires and somewhat rusty old chrome wheels. My dad has an 04' that he just put wheels on and gave me his ones. He told they wouldn't fit without modification but could direct me nowhere to gather the information on how to do so. I don't want to screw up perfectly good wheels trying different methods to retro-fit them on my older pattern. If anyone knows of any way to modify them I would be greatly appreciative. If not, just try and sell them as they are taking up to much space in garage now!! Thanks!

take them to a machine shop. first check at a wheel and tire store to see if they have inserts that will fit the tires. if these don't work, don't worry because '04 wheels on a '94 will look really stupid anyway.
