Custom CD player Installation

RE: Custom CD player Installation
Ok. Ive removed the cd player. I just dont know what to do about the huge hole. The Old radio in my 99' 250 was almost twice the size of my new cdplayer. Should I just have someone install it or is there a way I can do it myself? Please excuse my ignorance

You can buy a mounting plate at most car stereo shops, which will cover the hole. Sometimes minor cutting is required to get it to fit perfectly. I've used a hand saw and/or Dremel to cut mine - it's not a big deal - lay it flat when cutting to avoid breaking it.
Also, you can also buy a stereo wiringadapter at the stereo shop - plugs right into your stock harness, so you usually don't have to cut or splice any wires, keeping your stock harness connector intact. Wal-Mart carries the adaptersfor a much lower price, so you might want to check there first to see if they have one to fit your application.
