Default F-350 (2011) - "DRIVE TO CLEAN FILTER" Problems

Hi Ford enthusiasts,

I am having some issues with the "Drive to Clean Filter" process. I read the manual and I understand that you need to drive over 48 km/hr (30 MPH) to clean the filter. I have been doing this when the message pops up and I have noticed that the message is not going away in the past few months, even after driving for a while above 60 km/hr).

I have been experiencing this during our cold winters, where more idling is required to warm up the vehicle.

Does anyone have these problems? Does anyone know how long you have to drive to clean the filter?

Thanks.

This is new to me. Could you please tell us what filter they might be referring to and what engine do you have in the 350 ?

Are you referring to the DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter ) with the newer diesel engines?

Default Love hate situation

Have a 2015 F-350, loved it for the first 11,000 miles and within the last 2,000 miles I have gone to hating the damn thing, have had it in the shop four time in the last month, it has gone into limp mode four time every time I get it out of the shop it is fixed (or so they say). Seams as if now the truck starts a regen every 200 to 250 miles and doesn't seam to regen while I am towing a load. What good is a truck made for towing that cant tow without shutting down every 250 miles parking it on the side of the road and dropping off your load regening and then going back to pick up your load and drive another 250 miles. all I have now is a $70,000 paper weight.
