Code P0093. Been 2 weeks in the shop trying to find the problem with the CODE but it is so vague nobody can figure out what cause the reduce power engine if we travel over 120 miles/hr mostly on uphill. Frustrating. This truck has been in 3 different garages so far without any resolve. Please help. Or if it did happened to you, what was the cause. Thanks

When you say shops, were any of these dealership service depts?

I ask this because they would have the tools and info to verify if the hi pressure pump and controls are malfunctioning.

Yes, real dealership service and they did verified almost everything. They change a few things than make a road test. The problem persist and it has been like this since June. They cannot find any other code or what ever is causing the problem. This truck will cost us a leg. Now we think there could be air in the fuel link???
the truck runs fine until....than lose power, have enough power to pull over, than it completely stop. Only the battery sign. Turn the key off, restart the truck, everything is fine until next "stop".....Oh, yes once I had a check engine where we could find THE CODE, since then, nothing but a frustrating ride. Thanks to read me.

Default To Hanky,

Sorry for the delay. Fuel cap is green. Why would it matters? Is there something about the fuel line with that green cap that would cause a problem?..thanks.

Yes !
A fuel cap for a gasoline is not vented.
Diesels, if the tank has no vent will vent through the fuel cap. When fuel is drawn from a diesel tank and air cannot get in to replace the withdrawn fuel , the engine is starved for fuel and will shut down.
