Can anyone tell me if I can tow a 2020 Grand Design Solitude 310GK with my 2019 F250 Super Duty Short Bed Crew Cab 4x4 using the Anderson 3220 Ultimate 5th wheel Connection?

 

You will be over on Payload with the 6.2 gas and even more with the 6.7, Solitude's are a more a Dually tow vehicle

I'm not sure what you mean, The Solitude 310GK weight is 12k empty and 15k gross. I understood my towing capacity was 15k so I thought I would be ok? I was planning on installing aftermarket air bags to level out the truck. I have the 6.7. I was more concerned with clearance issues to cab and side rails?

 

To determine is you have the correct tow vehicle it is more than towing capacity, that's the easy part. The payload or cargo carrying capacity is your limiting factor. The Solitude dry hitch weight without the battery and propane is about 2350. So then you have to load people and all your stuff in the truck and rv , plus the hitch in the bed, say that adds another 1000 lbs, now your at 3350. Your F250 6.7 diesel only has a payload capacity of about 2250. You will be a least 1100 lbs or more over your trucks payload capacity

You can find your payload rating on the inside of the drivers door jam. It is a yellow sticker labeled as cargo capacity

Well that's certainly a bummer. The yellow sticker inside the door says the capacity is only 2,026 lbs. I am sure we were told the payload was 3,450 when we purchased the truck. I was told the only difference between the 250 and 350 was the suspension. I have ordered air lift bags for the suspension, will that make this tow safer?

 

Yes most salesmen are idiots, that 3450 lb max payload is from a 2 wheel drive, no extra cab, gas engine, bare bones truck. My 2019 F250 4 x 4, crew cab, 6.2 gas engine, and camper package has a payload of 3200 lbs
