Anyone else have the heat shield/blanket attached to the bottom of the cab fall off and burn/melt on the exhaust and scuff/ polish the drive shaft?

It does get pretty hot near the converter and a really good move to reinstall it or have a shop do it. ASAP !

I zipped tied it up out of the way as a temporary fix it goes to the dealer tomorrow. This happened on a road trip in Oregon about ten days ago. The truck is a 2021 f250 with only about 2 thousand miles on it so it’s a little soon to be worn out. I thought the truck was on fire at one point as the shield melted/burned as it sat on the exhaust. It also rode on the drive shaft and actually polished it in some areas. I tried getting it into a dealer in Oregon but none of them said they couldn’t get me for almost two weeks.

Update: I took the truck to the dealer yesterday. They are replacing the heat shield (obviously) and they are also replacing the driveshaft. I should get the truck back in under a week. I’m starting to wonder about this truck, i purchased this truck two months ago and this will be the third week it has spent at the dealer. They had it for two weeks to re-paint the bed of the truck to fix a defect from the factory which they fixed but now there two other defects from the re-paint and will have to go back again for re-paint. That will be another two weeks. Discouraging for a new truck.
