Keeping the gas tank full, or not
My F250 is not going to be my primary driving car. Once I really get the hang of driving it, plus the trailer, I expect I'll only drive it once a week, or when hauling the horses, or when hauling something else.
I've heard that if I don't keep the gas tank fairly full, it can hurt the fuel pump. But I've also heard that if gas sits in the tank for too long, it can oxidize. As you all know, the truck has a large gas tank, and it would take me a while of occasional driving to work my way through the whole thing. So I'm not sure what I should do. I originally was planning on leaving it 1/4 to 1/2 full all the time, so I'd have to keep introducing new fuel, but now I don't know. Thoughts?
It's a gas, not a diesel.

If you can, get a bottle of Fuel Stabilizer from most any auto parts store or maybe even Walmart, and add according to the directions. I have found that works well for me.
If you bring any kind of fuel home and will not be using it right away, add the stabilizer, do that with mowers , generators and anything that uses gasoline that you will not be using right away.
Any possible condensation that might build up will usually get picked up by the fuel filter. which should be changed at least twice a year. Spring and fall.
