More Power!

More Power!
I have another thread going about my transmission and brakes, but I have another question here. I have an '89 F250 4x4 with a 460 and C6 automatic, 72,000 original miles. I tow a 7,500lb travel trailer and this truck just doesn't seem to have the power I need. I believe it originally came with about 185hp, so even new it wasn't really a powerhouse. Once the brakes and transmission are fixed I still have a quandry. Do I beef the power or get a new truck? I really love this truck but the towing issue is getting to me. It bogs on hills and seems like 65 is about the best she'll do on the freeway. I'm not looking to shred tires. I just want the power to easily tow a trailer it SHOULD easily tow. I'm retired on a fixed income, so a new truck is definitely out of the question. But, these days diesels are outrageously expensive. 100k mile 15 yo truck goes for about $40-50k. I just find that ridiculous, but it's the market in the northwest.
Any power suggestions or different truck ideas? I'm leaning towards an early 2000s F350 diesel although I had an '05 6.0 once that, in spite of everything I was told was a decent, trouble-free truck.
