Default No power to fuse 13 on 2001 F250

I could not get my 2001 F250 to shift out of park. No brake lights so I replaced brake position switch with no joy. Then determined there was no power to the switch. Fuse 13 is supposed to be hot all the time but no voltage on either side of the fuse.
The can't shift out of park left me at a convenience store about 40 miles from home so had to get towed. I noticed that the light socket and power windows all stopped working at the same time. I did run over a rock and heard a banging sound on the underside of the truck but have looked and cannot see any damage to any of the wiring or anything else. I removed the shift lock solenoid so I could move the truck but don't want to drive it without brake lights.
Any suggestions about what to try/where to look next would be appreciated. Wiring diagrams have been hard to come by. I used to go to the library and make copies of Mitchells but that is gone now.

Without a diagram it will be difficult to trace the power flow to that fuse.I would search the net, you might be able after paying for subscription, download a schematic for your truck. If you are going to keep your truck and are a DIY'er, you might want to invest in shop manuals. They will pay for themselves. Last time I bought them, I got the full volumes at Helm.

You may not be aware ,there is a power distribution box in the engine compartment and a fuse box in the cabin. If you only checked the box in the cabin you might take a look at the fuses in the power dist box.
If you have a copy of the owner's manual the diagrams are shown in there. It shows the fuses and relays and what they control.

Was the windshield ever replaced in your vehicle? They were known for leaking moisture in to the cabin fuse box causing all sorts of problems.
Give it a quick look for excessive rust and you might find the solution to a lot of electrical problems.

We can provide you with any schematics you need, but seems you have a power distribution drop out. Possibly the CJB, GEM, but stop light function isn't GEM related.
'Light socket'?
If the PW's stopped functioning, you checked all the circuit protections for them? Any of the fuses for PW dead like #13?

The only fuse I saw for the PW was in the fuse box under the hood. It was getting power and not blown. It was a metallic looking 30A fuse. Not plastic like all the others. It was 0.2 ohms across the fuse and test light showed the socket for that fuse getting power. I also notice the Diagnostic connector was not working with my OBD2 reader. The reader did not even display anything when key was on so I think it is not getting power also.

When I said light socket I meant to say lighter socket. No power to the cigar lighter socket either.

All working correctly now. Two things that I did one or both of which fixed the problem. I was looking for broken wires or bad connections and noticed under the master cylinder that there had been a lot of leakage of brake fluid. The brake fluid pressure switch was leaking. I just went ahead and replaced the master cylinder and while I had it out noticed that some of the fluid had leaked onto a bank of 4 connectors (bad place to have mounted that) so I disconnected them all and cleaned them out with the CRC QD contact cleaner. Put them back together and installed new master cylinder with new pressure switch. Brake lights, lighter socket, power windows and diagnostic connector all work correctly now. I had bought a month of AllData so I could look at schematics but never could find anything that these had in common. It could have been they all got power through the 4 connectors and cleaning them brought them back. Two weeks with truck off line saved me a little money since diesel is so high now. Glad to have it back.
Thanks for all your suggestions.
